How about:
- just raising the boom a bit by moving the gooseneck up (obviously need to shorten the mainsail at the head but should be minimal amount of re-cutting
- raising end of boom by slicing off triangular wedge of the sail at the boom. Might not give you enough clearance at "mid boom" where the boom is lowest.
Raising the mast is a lot more effort by comparison.
