The Romany in foam sounds great Jeff!Glad the 400g twice is working out.....

Jason, one of the most important things is how long of a pot life your epoxy has, things like using large flat kitty litter containers to hold a large amount of epoxy in a shallow container help it last longer .

We used Progressive Epoxy polymers premium blend ,it has a slow exethermal reaction which really helps doing a large surface like one side of a 9m Skua for example .

When you ask about strength I think this is one area you can make it stronger by doing one full length piece of biax glass pre cut and laid out on the hull ready for wetting out as you go....bit by bit.

When you get to the end ,you'll be nackered (tired for those who speak N.American)

take a break and get some more glass on while it is a bit sticky, lay it out and go again.Three people helps in a big job like this, one to mix and bring fresh epoxy to the other two ,this person is most important as the epoxy has to be consistently mixed ,I let a helper do it once with the predictable results ....& we scraped it off etc.

This sort of technique, full length glass and getting the second layer on early before cure will make a difference in strength .

Thats a nice looking design ,I'd like a trailable one some day, just maybe.....
