I need to redo the boom and goose neck on my boat after a hard jibe reaching at about 13knts.
We blew the 2 small pop rivets holding the goose neck to the mast. (Should have had 6 longer ones.)
I have two choices how to fix it,
1st way: is use more pop rivets of the proper size.
2nd way: make a roller boom like the F-boats have, this would have one nice thing. The sail stays on the boom after sailing and has a boom cover, just unroll to use.
Not sure what is better for reefing, pros and cons?
