Well, I guess it is all relative. I consider J Moss and Kirk Franklin to have a "hiphopish" flavor and I think they both have rap in some of their songs. Maybe it is a particular song or artist that is not sitting well with you? We get a Christian video channel with our cable company and have fallen in love with a video by a Christian rapper named Lecrae so much that we bought the CD. The song is entitled "Prayin For You".
I lead a teen group that only does urban dance. I make sure that their movements interpret the song and the message of the songs we choose are Biblical. If you get to the point that you feel your group is ready for rap, I encourage you to use similar policies. It makes it much harder to choreograph, but I won't have it any other way.
