: Well, I guess it is all relative. I consider J Moss and Kirk Franklin to have a "hiphopish" flavor and I think they both have rap in some of their songs. Maybe it is a particular song or artist that is not sitting well with you? We get a Christian video channel with our cable company and have fallen in love with a video by a Christian rapper named Lecrae so much that we bought the CD. The song is entitled "Prayin For You".
: I lead a teen group that only does urban dance. I make sure that their movements interpret the song and the message of the songs we choose are Biblical. If you get to the point that you feel your group is ready for rap, I encourage you to use similar policies. It makes it much harder to choreograph, but I won't have it any other way.

thanks Karmel,
That is in deed it in part. I'm sure there is some good Christian rap I justhave not heard any. I will check out Lecrae. The largest part is they really are not ready for rap. I do think it's important to cross over to praising not dancing. I've seen clips from you young ladies and they are praising God, have they always or did it take time? I'm all for getting God's word out in many forms of dance but it must be in the form of praise and not dancing. We pray before practice. I give them copies of the songs in writing and on CD. We talk about the song and what it means. We talk about praising. I let them pick out songs. I've asked them to help with making up a dance, I've asked them to give me 1-2 eight counts each they never do it, that's ok I don't mind I know one day they will come around. Do yo have any other suggestion?
To His Glory,
Angela
