Good Morning & Grace and Joy to you all,
I don't quite know where to start but here goes. I have just been blessed with the postion of overseeing the Dance Ministry at my church and we have about 17 teenagers who are on the team and I tell you theses girls are a piece of work. They have been together for a few years now and the dances they do are good but the attitudes of these girls are so wrong. First of all we have a new Pastor and he has been there about 7 months and he's making positive changes in the church so everything is in line with the word of God because for so long people have been accustom to doing things their way and nothing has been said but he is doing things God's way in desent and in order and some of the members don't like that. Anyway i kind of got of the subject but in the past there have been 3 dance coordinators all teenagers which is not a problem but he problem is one of te girls when they practice feels that she could talk to the other girls any kind of way and she hollas at they like they are her children. Now since I have been Blessed with working with these girls some of them have a problem with it. Because THe attitudes I will not tolerate and the why they treat each other will not be tolerated. Now The Pastor has put practice on hold for the girls for the last month and Monday was the first practice under my leadership. I gave them a package with information on our practices will be ran with prayer, warm up streches, etc. It also included RULES and an agreement that they had to sign along with thier parents if the were to continue ministering. They had a real problem with that. And when i told them that this was a Dance Ministry and the purpose was to minister to people not just for show or fashion they didn't like that. They had another practice yesterday, no one brought their agreement back, the young lady is still yelling at the other girls and they dance (at practice) with no feeling and are constantly playing. They are suppose to go minister a dance somewhere Saturday but I don't feel like they should go or minister until they get themslves together, have the right attitudes, and realize why they are there. Is that the right spirit to have. Please help and sorry this is so long but I had to get it out.
