I think that its great that that you are doing this. I am in my 40's...lol...and I have never danced formerly; however, God deals with me through music. I see dances in my head. Sometimes I can be riding in the car and put in a CD and immediately see the coreography that should go to the song then I get all excited and start clappin and praisin God cause I can't believe he's using me.
God is an awsome and His greatness is unsearchable. He has called you for such a time as this. Not only do those children need to dance but they need someone with wisdom that will teach them how to have fun but be holy and full of wisdom.
Congratulations on your new position. Don't let anyone tell you that you are too old or out of place. Watch God move...

: I am the youth leader @ my church. The dance ministry leader is getting married and have not had the time to practice with the dance team which is a group of teens ranging in the ages of 12-16. The ministry was lacking so to keep it going I intervened as the overall youth leader. I want to know if you think I might be to old to help the youth in this area. I can honestly say that God has been dealing with me to help or I wouldn't have stepped in. I don't know that much about this area of ministry and I am seeking tips from people like you and absoulute guidance from God. Any ideas on how to get started. Any tips on where/how I can obtain moves/symbols to words songs would help. I am going to start by ordering videos, watching them and listening to music which has always been a strength and letting God lead me. I was the director of our choir for many years and God blessed. But I was younger and now I am older. But I do know he has never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed beggin bread. I know he is going to provide. Please pray for me as I encounter this ministry. By the way I am 52 years of age. Any beginner suggestions you have is prayerfully welcome.
: God Bless
