I know you are asking about how to get your ministry known, but it is hard to answer that question without dealing with the first part of your message. I completely agree with Deirdre and Sonji's comments... I mean completely agree... like 100%! (If you haven't read their responses yet, please read it before you continue reading this one.)
Nevertheless, since Sonji and Deirdre addressed the important part of your message, I'll try to address the question you've asked... though I don't think I'll be much help. We (N'Him) never tried to get our ministry known or "get our name out". We just ministered at our own church and with time others were asking us to come to their church, event, program, wedding, block party, etc. It seems since Sonji has come on board as leader (2 months ago) we've had more advertisement than ever before! I think of the verse (John 12:32) that says if Christ is lifted up He will draw all men unto him. I just encourage you to be humble and allow God to grow your ministry in His timing as you focus on lifting Him in and through your ministry (if indeed you decide to go with the idea of a ministry outside of the church). If people are drawn to the Lord through your dance ministry, trust me, you won't have to find ways to become known. It comes automatic!
Be encouraged!

(OK, so read Sonji and Deirdre's emails one more time for good measure!! :-)
