Personally whenever I am ask to dance I don't ask for a 'fee'. Personally I believe that if God has put the ministry in place He will provide, but I always willing to accept any donations that are giving. I would understand at a certain tense where somebody is asking you to minister, but the cost is high. I would ask for them to at least cover the cost of the hotel or gas, but never to pay for me coming to dance. I understand when it comes to teaching a workshop because you are bring in your own materials, but never when it comes to you ministering. Donations are fine. Paying for you to dance is not fine! I see it as this if Jesus didn't ask people to pay for Him to teach them then neither should we. I don'y know that is just my opinion.
