cj2,
I'm sorry it has taken me quite a while to respond, but I just HAD to get that copyright blog done for Annanora before I tried to do something else. (Thanks for your patience, Annanora!!)
Your comment about a move of the Holy Spirit is interesting and true! That's not something you can plan, though... or if it is help me understand how. That seems to be something that happens on God's timing, and for us it usually changes our planned agenda... which is just fine with us! We have had a worship workshop in the past that really took everyone "away" and it spilled over into the next few workshops. At our last symposium, the Holy Spirit fell when we were doing our "Six Types of Dance" workshop and people began to cry and worship and fall in surrender to the Lord. None of us were expecting that!! However, I'm not sure how to do a class on that. We are discussing/planning a more in depth workshop on praise and a separate one on worship as it seems that many dancers don't "go there" as they should/could. Let's continue discussions on this. How can we teach surrender that invokes an awesome move of God?
Funny you mention competition. We just did a workshop in Florida a few weeks ago that dealt with competition. We will certainly address this at the symposium, but I'm not sure how long of a workshop we'll have on it. That's more of a teaching or exhortation, I think. If you have ideas on a movement workshop that addresses competition, we're glad to hear it.
Thanks for your ideas and inputs!! We are definitely on the same page!
