Awhile ago the dance team was working on a song by Israel called you guessed it “Breakthrough”. And as we normally do, we had a biblical based lesson on the meaning of the song. This is the lesson revised to share with you all.
Each one of us have areas in our lives where breakthrough is required (in order for us to continue to move towards who & what GOD has called us to be).
What does GOD want to do in me, make manifest? What areas does he want me to grow, increase in (go to another level)? What areas are GOD working on in me? Are questions we need to seek the answers for.
What does “Breakthrough” mean? Let’s look at the definitions listed below.
#1 an offensive thrust that penetrates and carries beyond a defensive line in warfare
#2 an act or instance of breaking through an obstruction
#3 a sudden advance especially in knowledge or technique
* notice some type of action is required
** the prophetic WORD in our house has kept repeating about how “suddenly” things
A breakthrough happens when GOD takes or advances you from a place (position or level) to another place (position or level). When the place or state of being you are in is not the place where HE wants you to be an advance takes place. It can be a physical place (position, locale) as well as emotional, spiritual, or even a physical state (struggles of the flesh, sickness, diseases). It can even be a way of thinking, how you look at something, how you act or speak, even how you feel. The end result is to bring you closer to HIM, to who HE has created, designed you to be, closer to your destiny.
Harvest: reaping time
14 And the seed that fell in the weeds- well, these are the ones who hear, but then the seed is crowded out and nothing comes of it as they go about their worrying about tomorrow, making money & having fun. 15 But the seed in the good earth—these are the good-hearts who seize the WORD and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there is a harvest.
34 Jesus said, “The food that keeps me going is that I do the will of the ONE who sent me, finishing the work He started. 35 As you look around right now, wouldn’t you say that in about 4 months it will be time to harvest? Well, I’m telling you to open your eyes and take a good look at what’s right in front of you. These Samaritan fields are ripe. It’s harvest time! 36 The Harvester’s isn’t waiting. He’s taking his pay, gathering his grain that’s ripe for eternal life. Now the Sower is arm and arm with the Harvester, triumphant.
Principal of sowing and reaping- you sow, wait, then reap (harvest) Praise GOD!
In this passage he is talking about the will of the Father, God has a will & a purpose for each one of us that is multi dimensional. And by that I mean we all as believers are to witness, spreading the good news, leading the lost to Christ but there are other things that are in the will of the Father for our (individual) lives. And this applies to that also.
It is time! To breakthrough into all that GOD has for us. And as we breakthrough & break free it will create an atmosphere of release for the Body of Christ”. I am excited about what GOD IS doing.
