Funny you should ask that question...First of all...I think that you should pray about the situation. You need to be comfortable in your spirit...about the decision that you make because you are going to have to stand on it even if it is by yourself. Ask yourself these questions:
Is this the first mistake or do these members have a track record for repeating mistakes?
This situation involves more than one member so are you willing to possibly change the dynamics of the team weather it is for a little while or permenantly? (because they may get mad and quit)
How do you feel about doing nothing? after all some may say that their decision to go clubbing had nothing to do with the team, it was their personal decision.
If you make a decision to hold them accountable, are you willing to also be accountable as a leader, because as sure as you discipline them everything that you may have ever done that left a question in their mind becomes suspect.
If you did something what woud it be and why did you make that decision? (has to be scripturally founded)
If you have spiritual leaders you need to get with them and you need to find out what your pastors feelings on the situation. DO NOT HANDLE THIS SITUATION ALONE or within the team...keep yourself covered at all times...get spiritual guidance!!!
I could tell you what I did, and believe me I have alot to say however, your decision is going to have to be based on your vision for the team (do they know and understand the vision for the team? this is what holds them accountable) and the vision that your leader has set and if you are influenced by others and you are not comfortable with what you have done, it won't work.
Father, I pray right now for this situation and this Leader. Give them the wisdom that they need to trust in you and not man. No weapon that is formed against this team shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against them, you Lord will condemn. Father, I believe that we are in a time when we have to know who we are as your called and we have to take a stand for what we say we believe. Whose report shall we believe? It shall be the report of the Lord. Susan, I am confident in this, He that hath begun a good work in you shall perform it until Christ returns. Lord I thank you for Godly counsel and wisdom for you have surrounded us as a shield. You are our keeper and protector and we thank you in advance for the victory in Jesus Name...AMEN!!!
P.S. Be prepared to start having some teaching sessions during your rehersals even if you have to start bringing ministers in so that you can gleen for yourself.
Three question that may be good to give them as an assignment: What is ministry, What is ministry "not"?, How do you minister?
