Position of LST 404 13th April 1943

My grandmother’s brother was drowned on 13th April 1943. He was on the LST 404. His name was Herbert Osgothorpe DJX 288038. I have found the record of his death but we are trying to find out where he died and what actually happened. As far as I can see he perished with 3 others and perhaps was on a small patrol boat or something.

Just knowing the where he was would be nice.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
