HI, I NEED HELP IN FINDING A PHOTOGRAPH OF H M S VENITIA GOING THROUGH THE KIEL CANAL IN 1930.STANDING ON THE DECK IS MY DAD HE SAYS IT WAS THE FIRST ROYAL NAVY SHIP TO GO THROUGH THE CANAL AFTER THE FIRST WORLD WAR. MY DAD IS NOW 93 AND STILL GOING STRONG ,ONE OF THE OLD BREED.HE JOINED H M S GANGES AS A BOY SAILOR 1929. HE IS KEEN TO FIND THIS PICTURE, THE LAST MY DAD CAN REMEMBER OF SEEING THE PICTURE WAS WHEN MY GRANDMOTHER DIED IT WAS HANGING ON THE WALL IN THE FRONT ROOM OF THE HOUSE, MY GRANDMOTHER LIVED IN KIRKINTILLOCH SCOTLAND.HOPING THAT SOME ONE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP.
