: I have a notebook kept by my latefather which includes the words...25th March 1940 arrived Liverpool, 26th March sailed Staffordshire, 28th March 12 noon bombed, picked up 6pm SS Sama(handwriting not clear on this spelling), approx 60 dead. : Can anyone throw a light on this record. It says so much in just a few lines, I would love to know more. Thank you.
