Hi, I wonder if someone might be able to tell me what it means to be "Recommended for Royal Fleet Reserve". This is on my Dad's Record (CH/x 104139) and I wonder if it means he voluteered for the Roal Marines from another part of the services? He was listed as a Mne at Exmouth RMRD and I wonder if he was there as a new recruit for initial training or just bilited there? Can anyone let me know how things were back then. I read the history published on wwww.exeterflotilla.org/history, so I have some idea of how the camp developed, but were there only new recruits here in May/June 1941?

Also, is there any way of finding out where RMs went after their time at Exton? My Dad went to the Division but I would love to know how to trace his next step.

Thank you for reading this and please do let me know if you can enlighten me at all.
