: Thanks for your help Navalis. Do you know if there is any way of tracking down an NP record. I know my grandad was in charge of landing parties in both Operations Torch and Baytown. Could you also clarify something for me please? As a naval Petty Officer serving in Combined Services (rather than Combined Ops), would this make him the equivalent of a commando or what they would call Special Forces now? : Thanks very much for any light you can shed on this. : Best regards
