: Hi all, Im trying to trace my fathers naval career.I am really struggling.I have applied for his naval records from the mod but that came back no trace.I have three photographs of my late father from his naval days.one a xmas card posted in Rangoon dec 1944.a photograph of him standing on a escort carrier with a sea fire in the background.From the records of ship movements at the time the only carrier that fits the bill is HMS ATHELING.Can anybody help with old crew photographs etc etc. : any pointers greatly received : Clive
