I'm trying to find out any information regarding my great uncle Sub-Lieutenant COLIN WILLIAM HORNER HASLETT (RNVR) who was killed 19th August 1942 during the Dieppe Raid.
I have letters from LT D T Bibby and G T Lambert which were sent to my Great Grand Mother from a German POW camp in 1943. GT Lambert was with Colin when he was killed - he dosEnt give any details as to what they were doing when he was killed. lt Bibby was a close friend who server with Colin on a drifter.
I have recieved information from Paul De La Motte-Harrison and Tony Chapman which leads me to believe that Colin was in command of a Landing craft during the Raid.
I would greatly appreciate any further information or guidance.
Many Thanks
Darren
