: Hi, I am looking for any information anyone has on HMS Sainfoin. She was originaly the "Empire Crossbow", an american built ship drafted into the royal navy in 1944 and used as a troop carrier. : My father served on her from march 1945 to dec 1945, and as far as I can tell this was in the far east. : I do not know my fathers roll on the ship, I think he may have been in the engine room but cannot be sure. I beleive the Sainfoin was involved in a rescue mission for the hospital ship Takliwa. Unfortunatly dad passed away earlier this year so I have very little to go on apatrt from the info in his service record. : Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
