: P R C Guinness I can only give an outline, gained from the Navy Lists -
: 14 Aug 1936 Naval Cadet (presumably when he entered - at Dartmouth?)

: 1 January 1937 - Midshipman

: 1 January 1939 - Sub-Lieutenant

: early 1939 - listed as being on a Course, Portsmouth

: 15 June 1939 - appointed to destroyer VELOX at Chatham

: ...I have no other info until he appears in the casualty list for MTB.41.

: MTB.41 belonged to the 5th MTB Flotilla which was then being formed at Dover; it was the senior officer's boat until lost
