Are you talking about the same surgery? The total pancrectomy with islet cell autotransplant? That is more than a one day surgery and recovery. I think they shortest time I've heard of anyone getting out of the hospital is 9 days after surgery. How can you get in one day and leave the next if you have the surgery?
