Trust me, I do have CRONIC pancreatitis. They just don't take out 1/2 your pancreas for nothing. The thing that is bothersome to me and Doc is that the CT showed not abnormalities of what remains. Hence, there is the need for the EUS. Hopefully, they will find something there. Yes, hopefully, because I don't think the pain is 100% pancreas. I think a good portion is adhessions around the bowel, and adhessions near the pancreas because getting gas HURTS like no tomorrow. Then, it can go away. Having an empty bowel HURTS like no yesterday. They are similar pains, but not identical.
But on a brighter note...
Did y'all know that in Argentina there has been success in ADULT stem cell research that has been 80 to 90 % effective in the management of diabetes?
Yes, I have to bring this up because from all the problems I have had with my pancreas, I have developed diabetes... (surgically induced diabetes, not a true Type I, nor a true Type II). And the cool part about Audlt Stem Cell transplant is that it comes from the person who is receiving it!!! Yes, that means you recieve your own tissue, so no anti-regection medication.... I want to be the first int the U.S. to recieve my own cells injected into my pancreas!!!
(oh, wait... will I create proper cells if I don't have the cells??? or does the stem cell just creates what it needs to make the body "happy"?) No, how, I want to be first, since I didn't even hear about the Islet Transplant until TWO years AFTER my head was removed!!!!
Lots of Laughs now, but it has been a long 9-1/2 year trip!
