Your husband & I sound similar. I went from having one to two attackas a year to having too many to count in a 6 month span. I have had 2 sphinctorautomies. Both done by Dr. Lehman in Indy, Iam in KC. A couple of years later I went to Mayo. Really nice place in the Fall. But what they told me was no differant than what I had already been told. Although there they do not reccommend the Sphinctor cuts. And to be honost we felt that we were talked "at" rather than "to". My questions seemed to be past over as "well you have heard this before". I was there for information a fact finding mission. Came away feeling it was beneficial for the 2nd opinion, but not real pleased with the overall Dr experiance. All other aspects of Mayo itself were more than acceptable.
It cannot hurt to go and see them. Also, there is the University of MN. In my opinion they may be a little knife happy there but they are near or at the top of the pancreas field.
