No. After they took my "healthy" gall bladder, we went to Indy and had the 1st sphinct I was back within 5 months to have the 2nd. Both in 2003. Since then I have had numerous attacks. But, things seem to have slowed down somewhat. I have now gone 5 months without a visit to the ER/Hospital. Which is a new record for me. My drs talk of "pancreas burnout". Not sure to believe them or not, since I still have pains. But as long as I can deal with it at home better for us. To let you know I have just recently gotten off pain meds. It was making me nuts. My opinion better to feel the pain than be brain numb.
Also, when I was at Mayo in MN everyone there said do not come in the winter if you can help it. Can't understand why, other than I hate snow & cold winds.
