You are totally correct about not knowing where these flare ups come
up.
I went in to have Sphincerotomy because I had been having flare ups
this wee. Tuesday I had my first one. The duct was to small and sent
me to a panceatis. He did put a small stent in. I spent the next 3 days
and nights in severe pain Kaiser Sacramento. I knew I could be in that
much pain at home as well in the hospital so although wobbly I talked
my doctor into letting me go home. The next day he called me and told
me the stent did not fall out and it was lodged in an area where it
woudn't come out. Back to sacramento we went right into surgery.
When I woke up He told me he put 2 new stents. and everything should
be okay. Still In alot of pain I question the doctor on why he put 2
stents in instead of one. He said it would work better and hey should
come out by themselves. If not, in two weeks I will have to go back to
have another ERCP to remove them. They great news is he told me
you'll have to do this the rest of your life. That was hard to swallow.
You see I have pancreas divisum. nothing fixable only temporary
fixable. I pray my next flare up will be a long time down the road so
my body has time to heal
