A lot of people on the boards have been given the run around and abused basically by the system. DONT STOP FIGHTING FOR HEALTH CARE!! they even tried behind my back to admit my hub to the nut ward but his insur refused it. I dont have insurance he does. Hub is medically retired nt working and his retirement pays his insur only. BUT we are living beyond check to check. We constantly figure out who DOESNT get paid this month. and rotate it monthly. so i know the fear of the bills and the collectors hassling. OMG we have had soo many collector calls before it was harrassment .but sometimes you just gotta do what you have to do. and if they call pick up the phone and the minute you know who it is hang up. unplug phone if you have to. Im thinking maybe you should have stayed in the hospital until they got your pain under control, NOT passing bowel is a bad thing, so you could get miralax or something else, let them get your body working as best you could. narcotics do slow you down and in some cause constipation. Tell hosp youll pay them $5 a month until paid off.. what ever it takes. There are many times where i couldnt even guarantee $5 a month! And didnt because we just didnt have it. but you cant just go on w/o help. I dont have insurance for myself either and only go if i have the $$ to pay.. um that means TWO bills dont get done and i have to juggle harder.. and its hated. but if you get too bad off youll end up admitted for a longer stay and more complications. sometimes you have to get out of your area too, we live near orlando fl, iwent to all the local hosps with hubby/ then up state then all the way to INDIANA where we finally got the correct diagnosis. then to MINN! i didnt pay car payments i didnt pay mortgages ect.. it was hellacious but you need some help. dont give up.
