I can't imagine the stress you must have gone through. I feel very lucky to live in a country whether the Uk or NZ or Oz where this does not happen. Imagine having to go to court to get disability and what do you live on in the mean time. I have a flatmate here in the Uk who on hearing that the USA will only pay unemployment for one year said 'Good! Theres always a job you can get'---I don't know if that is true as there ae only a few jobs pumbing gas or working on the roads etc. However both in the Uk and in NZ there is a drive to get people off long term sickness benefits, here in the Uk they are saying 75% of people are not as sick as they sa they are. I have just received a letter for a sickness assessment though my G.P says I will pass it easily and to just take all my letters from the hospital. Luckly I haven't thrown them out.
