To solve the problem of not knowing who has Doss keys and also the collection of doss fees (no one in particular by the way) it has been suggested by many that we start having named key holders.
Therefore, effective immediately, we shall have doss key holders!
Key holders responsibilities:
- em ... to hold a key?,
- to be reasonably contactable when others require a key. Ideally your number would be distributed to other members,
- to collect doss fees and donations,
- to make sure you get your key back from whomever you gave it to in a reasonable time.
Current key holders are:
- Me (hut custodian). I currently have 2 keys.
- Sarah/Niall
- Michael (waneata)
Unless the above people have any objection, i'd like them to be key holders. I also need 1 willing volunteer to be the other key holder.
If you require a key then you should be able to get one from one of the members above. When finished with it it should be returned to them.
Doss fees should ideally be payed up front to the key holder on receipt of the key. Failing that on return of the key or to the hut custodian.
Doss fees are still £1 per night. Since we are considering replacing the Doss in the not too distant future please give a donation in addition to your £1 a night if you can. I will keep track of how much of the money paid was a donation.
