weekly foot notes... choices

Today's' message is one of my own...it's about choices. We get to choose each and every day how we are, even who we are.
Oh I know;.... it's so easy to blame someone else for something,.. anything really. But in all reality it is up to us how we react to any given person, place or thing.... each and every moment of each and every day. It's our responsibility. We get to choose if we are going to ignore hurtful comments, or bite the hook that is attached to those words and give our personal power away. We get to choose if we respond in kind to the individual who is hurting us with words, or simply tell them they are unkind and choose to walk away... there are so many different ways to react, just as there are SO MANY things/people/places/situations etc. to react to. In choosing which it will be in any given moment, remember to own your own power. If you choose to give back what was given, recognize that, as your choice and don't blame the individual for how you are feeling. Also recognize that you are responsible only for your stuff, your choices, your actions, your reactions, that is all. You are NOT responsible for what someone else does, says, or how they are, you are not responsible for their reactions to what you have done, or how they react to your reactions!
In challenging situations, I choose to practice the golden rule.. do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. Follow your heart.
I realize when you begin to take your own power back, it seems a bit over whelming and like such a huge challenge, but believe me it gets easier each time you do this until it becomes natural, and it will become natural, as it should be, it's your power! and you have a right to own your own power. Choose to claim your power as your own and stand strong as the beautiful, powerful person you are and are meant to be.
