Whether or not "When the D word (or any other word) makes people writhe with displeasure it is chiefly through association"...has no revelance in the context of Eza's post. Anyone who defines things by way of "divine or divinity" is no where close to Awakening, because no one near to uncovering Awakening would use such words, except to shine light on the suppression, limitations, disempowerment, and denial those words obscure the Heart of Essence through.
The truly Awake or Awakening make use of a very precise vocabulary. They certainly do not belittle the relevance words have vibrationally, below the threshold of the senses, with imagined misunderstood concepts like equanimity.
Again,...the words divine or divinity have no place in any authentic discussion of Awakening. All English language dictionary definitions of divine imply a relationship with something that does not exist beyond the ego's of men.
Of course, unawake people espouse ideas like "words cannot describe", or "it's beyond all words",...however, those who claim such nonsense are simple those unwilling to let go enough to realize that the bliss beyond ego can indeed be expressed through words,...just not the words that ego understand.
Thus, it is of utmost importance to be aware of what the words one uses mean. Real meditation is about the ability to choose the words that support awakening, and the ability to recognize words that are detrimental for awakening.
