SBP versus DIC

Landmark decision on the government taking away from the Veterans widows a dollar for dollar amount from their “paid for insurance policy of SBP” and the Veterans Disability Indemnity Compensation. Declared a total misinterpretation of the law.

Now I am sure the DoD will appeal as they always do when they are caught with their hand in the Veterans and Widows cookie; jar stealing from them to pay for their budgets and the real cost of war.

I would suggest that each one of you contact your congressperson and your two state senators and demand that this kind of shenanigan be put to an end now, unless they agree with DoD. In which case, you probably would be better off not voting for them.

This is very similar to the Veteran meeting retirement requirements and then establishes disability requirements and the government then offsets dollar for dollar even though the issues are totally different. Labeled the Veterans Disability Tax.
