Frances Lucille Clason was born June 15, 1923 in Beardstown, IL. To Leo and Hazel Crafton Calif. She was reared on the Calif farm Southeast of Kingfisher, OK. She attended Hambright County School and later Kingfisher public school. On November 28, 1938 she married her “Knight in shining armor” Kenneth Scott Clason. After honeymooning on his Grandmother Scott’s farm in Calumet, OK. And a brief stint at farming in Kingfisher County they resided the balance of their lives in Kingfisher OK. Frances worked as a telephone operator for Pioneer telephone. Frances was encouraged by her childhood friend Sam Walton to take on a new type of job. She did and that job was what she referred to “The best job I ever had” as the first Wal-Mart door greeter.

Beverly Tuggle and husband Steve of Oklahoma City, OK. Former Mayor of Henryetta, OK., Gary Clason and wife Jennifer of Henryetta, OK. Great-Grandchildren Brandon, Nicole and Jake Reynolds of Oklahoma City, OK. Bradley, wife Kim and Patrick Brakhage of Seminole OK. Stevie Ray Tuggle of Oklahoma City, OK. Brok and Kyle Clason of Henryetta, OK. One Great Great-Grandson Kendall Brakhage of Seminole, OK.

Remembrances may be made to Kingfisher in Lights at the Kingfisher County Courthouse in Kingfisher OK. Also to Fountain View Manor of Henryetta, OK.
At Frances’ request she will be joined in cremation with her husband Kenneth Scott Clason. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
