Jewell “Granny” Pollard a resident of Henryetta passed away on March 26, 2009 in Henryetta, Ok at the age of 85. Born May 25, 1923 in Shawnee,OK to Luther and Ethel (Giles) Anson. She married Ezell Pollard on September 26, 1939 in Eufaula, OK. She worked as a Nurses aid and attended the Bald Hill Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Ezell, son; Earl Ray Pollard, Daughter Vicki Ann Nuckles, Grandson; Timothy James Pollard, Christopher and Leon Pollard and a great grandson Kevin Coleman Hughes.

Services will be 10:00am Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Nuckolls and Rev. Willie Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Checotah Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
