Your kids and I are so grateful for your kind words to the man you
dubbed,"Randy-Tom". He always loved you and always thought that I was a fool
for leaving you. Until his dying day there was a picture of us all at Green Turtle,
he told me that it was the best trip of his life. I think everyone there would
agree. I think that it's okay that you were not at the memorial, he would have
rather been with you on the cliffs of Pedro. He and I spoke of you during his
final days. We all know that our ancestry could not have been more different nor
could it have been so similar in honor and integrity. Oliver can be proud of his
Grandfather Victor who sold gum on the streets of Tijuana, fled the border at
fifteen with no English and no formal education, worked his way through Law
School and served in DC during the Nixon Administration. Our son has a proud
path to follow as the last Stringer. He already reads a book a day and he
remembers his Uncle Randy-Tom's first words to him, " son, I do believe that
you just might grow up to be the governor of Texas" why Texas, Randy?
