Eleanor Elizabeth DeTurk a resident of Henryetta passed away on September 13, 2009 in Henryetta at the age of 87. Born June 21, 1922 in Salem, West Virginia to John and Edna (Colonet) Young. Eleanor worked as a Lab Technician at the Henryetta Hospital and Clinic, member of the Quilting Club at the Immanuel Baptist Church and served as “Pink Lady” at the Henryetta Hospital.
She married William Edward “Bill” DeTurk on 6/29/46 in Clarksburg, WV. She is preceded in death by Bill in July of 1994, her parents, 2 brothers: John Paul Young and James Eugene Young and a sister Barbara Jane Stanton.

Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Loyal Churchill, officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
