Alfred Williamson a resident of Henryetta passed away on September 14, 2009 in McAlester, Ok at the age of 85. Born March 22, 1924 in Scipio, Ok to Clarence and Jewel (Nave) Williamson. Alfred was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army having landed on Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944 and served in General Patton’s 3rd Army. Alfred was awarded Three Bronze Service Stars, WWII Victory Medal and EAME Theater Ribbon. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association, Veteran of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He married Sarah Hope in Ft, Smith, Arkansas and worked as a mechanic. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daughter; Twyla Williamson and 2 Brothers; Olen and Randolph Williamson.

Brothers: Loyd Williamson, Hue Williamson, Odis Williamson
Sisters: Mandy Grant, Mamie Stanley, Oleta Gordon, Gladys Troussel
And Ruth Yarbrough

Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah, Ok with the US Army providing Military Honors.
