First, the authors first name is Jack, NOT John (everything working well but the memory hehe)

In the book the author says that diabetes is a nutritional disease (rather than a gene malfunction) and should be treated nutritionally.

A "Dense Nutrient Diet" is what he advises. -- Good proteins (organic) including lots of cold water fish and a fibre rich diet. No refined sugars or carbs (which turn into sugar immediately in the body)

supplements -- Chromium 400mcg (micrograms) daily, Sylmarin 600mg daily- an extract from the milk thistle as the liver plays a big part in diabetes, Alpha Lipoic Acid 200mg daily.

Cinnamon - from one quarter tsp to a tsp and a half daily (your preference as to amounts here) and Apple Cider vinegar 20 grams before a rich meal-- these reduce glucose levels.

The author gives a daily supplement program in the book and these amounts are much higher than thos given by conventional nutritionists.
