Some home remedies for gum infections :-)
Go to the drug store and buy 3% hydrogen peroxide. Take about 1 ounce (full strength) (shot glass size) in your mouth and swish around your gums for as long as you can until the foam becomes too thick and then spit it out. Hold it as long as you can. Rinse your mouth with water a few times and then do the peroxide again. You'll get less foam the second time, but still get quite a bit. Repeat the process about 3 or 4 times. Peroxide, swish, foam, and spit out and then rinse. Do that at least 3 times a day.
Get powdered Vit. C at a health food store. It's called Sodium Ascorbate (or get Calcium Ascorbate, both OK). Take a teaspoon of the powder and mix with luke warm water. Take in your mouth and swish around the gums for 5-10 minutes and then you can swallow it afterwards. Repeat until you used up the Vit C in the glass. Do that 3 times a day-morning, afternoon, and evening.
Avoid sweets while trying to clear your gum infection as sugar only feeds the bacteria that are causing the infection. Do the above routine everyday. You should see start seeing improvement even after one day. If you do it for 4 or 5 days, you should see a big change.
After your gums are no longer sore, you need to brush your teeth 2 times a day with Vita-Myr , Zinc-Plus toothpaste. Besides brushing, use your finger with some toothpaste on it and massage your gums everyday. Use your finger like it was a toothbrush rubbing your gums.
Keep up the rinsing with hydrogen peroxide everyday and take the Vit C once daily and you won't get a gum infection.
