I wanted to let you all know that we will be weaning the two fillies..."Darlin" Belle's baby and "Goldie" (aka Ditto..not a Ditto anymore!) Rusty's baby. Rusty's fillie has turned out to be a palomino. She may have looked like mom at first but her mane and tail have come in white! Both the girls have grown like weeds and they are eating grain and hay really well. They are waiting in the creep feeder at each feeding. We will have them on the cams here in a couple of weeks so you can watch them. Weaning is a very stressful time for the babies so we really keep a close watch on them. Dan will be working on changing out the bedding in the cam stalls next week and then we will move them the week following.
We will be readying "Darlin" for the Sept. futurities so you will see us working with her on and off.
