My mother's name is Martha Jean Brinton. She was dating my father, who is 6'4", has dark hair, gray eyes, thick glasses, is of English/German descent, was mid-20s in 1970, and was a teacher (something with tools like shop or auto mech?), is an only child, and possibly plays the saxophone. My mother had met his parents and been to their house (bringing me to assume he and they are from the Carbondale area in Southern Illinois), but when she told him she was pregnant, he did not immediately want to marry her and she walked away and never came back.
