Anyone else disappointed in the quality of the film

Whilst the programme has aged well and is still as effective and emotional as ever, I have to say that the quality of the reproduction was poor.

There have been VHS copies of this knocking around for quite a while that were not much worse in terms of quality.

Is there any reason for this?
