Greetings Everyone! This Tuesday marks the entrance of the Sun into Libra and that has many implications. Personally, it means that Elizabeth will be writing a brilliant piece on the subject, giving me a a chance to briefly say "Hello" to you and then to step aside for the combined brilliance of Elizabeth, C.A., Julia and Carolyn. I'll get to talk with you on Hay House Radio every Tuesday where my show has been extended to One Hour thanks to you and the benevolent gestures of Louise Hay and her assistant Shelley Anderson. The divine intelligence within me, leads me in the direction of my highest good and happiness. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mental flexibility is especially warranted today when the thinking planet Mercury at 24 Virgo comes up against Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius. Both influences can leave us feeling a little like we are on drugs or like Alice, like we have fallen through the looking glass. Brilliant insights are possible; but seemingly disconnected thoughts and ideas are also to be expected. Combine this with the fact that Mars the planet of action is in an uncomfortable relationship with visionary Jupiter, your path may not seem as clear and as obvious as you would like. If you can, reset your sights for what can be accomplished today, and rather build in some quiet time for reflection and planning. My mind is free of meanings, judgments, and expectations. I am able to embrace each moment with an open and spontaneous attitude. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I speak of my future, picture it the way I want it to be and project energy into it with my thoughts, speech and action. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Wake up and smell the coffee' might be the mantra for today with a combination of planetary interactions that encourage us get our heads out of the clouds and be realistic (whatever that means!). An awkward but enlightening connection between the Sun (ego, identity) and Jupiter (expansion and optimism) may make us realize that not every path is open or practical to pursue; but this energy may shed some light on the options that are best suited to our personal preferences, skills and abilities and that make the most sense. The Moon's move into dependable and serious Capricorn (following a relatively long void of course) is met with an immediate hookup with Pluto. This is the end of the first quarter of the lunar cycle strengthening the mandates made earlier in the week that we ditch our indecision, make a commitment and follow a path. I know who I am and make my life a priority. The best way to achieve my goals within the natural limitations of the material universe is to depend upon and synergize my energies with the divine forces of the cosmos. After getting off to a little bit of a rough start with the Moon in Capricorn being at odds with Mars in Cancer, Sunday is mostly characterized by kind and supportive connections between the Moon and other planets. Our hunches will probably prove right when the Moon finds common ground with the thinking planet Mercury and supportive connections with both Uranus (individuality, freedom) and Saturn (structure, discipline) help us see too that balance can be found amidst competing ideas and dreams. Here is where strength lies in the coming together of opposite forces and taking the constructive and useful from each. I will be still and listen for the one voice that speaks of truth and the eternal quiet of peace.

SEPTEMBER 21
MOON in SCORPIO
This week dawns under an emotional and highly sensitive Scorpio Moon. Don't be surprised if people are on the hyper-sensitive end of the emotional spectrum with cosmic soul-mates Venus and Mars involved in a little disagreement of sorts. We may find, especially where relationships are concerned, we need to make a compromise or two. Issues around worthiness and self-worth go hand-in-hand when Venus is involved. Her motive is constant improvement as she searches for excellence along the Virgo path but she's likely to be digging up some dirt, and being more than a little critical. Meanwhile Mars, representing our motivation, is working through its own issues in emotional Cancer. We may end up being the giver or receiver of unwelcome 'constructive criticism' under this influence. As always, try to stay open and compassionate towards yourself and others and try not to jump to conclusions about other people's motivations. Just like you, they are seeking truth and looking for the path home. (Hint – we are on the path; we just don't always recognize it.) The spiritual truths you recognize, not only lights your path but is a beacon that others follow as well.

AUTUMN EQUINOX
MOON in SCORPIO
An early morning hookup (2:08 am PDT) between retrograding Mercury and the task master Saturn could set a serious tone for the morning. This is a no-nonsense connection between the planet of thinking and communication and the disciplinarian. This may actually be a very fortuitous set-up to the Autumn Equinox this afternoon when the Sun moves into balance-seeking Libra ushering in the official change of seasons from summer to autumn in the Northern hemisphere and winter to spring down under. The balance between dark and light and day and night is equal, but change is in the air. Libra the sign of partnership, relationship, cooperation and impartiality reminds us for every action there is a reaction, for every move, a response. Through Virgo's energy we have been examining the details; now it's time to make some decisions and start taking action. A balancing of the scales may require that we make a commitment.

SEPTEMBER 23
MOON in SAGITTARIUS
We will wake up to an optimistic Moon in Sagittarius which will help us keep our balance with some of the other unsettling energy of the day. Pluto the great transformer is sitting in staid and uncomplicated Capricorn, but after moving retrograde for awhile has not made much progress and is only at 0 degrees. When one of the other planets changes signs, Capricorn is waiting almost like a gatekeeper to check their identification and credentials. With the Sun's move into Libra, almost immediately the gatekeeper will reach out from Capricorn and challenge the purpose and the mission. Since the Sun is symbolic of our egos – who we believe we are – expect that experiences today could feel like an ID check or cause you to take a second look at some of your beliefs about yourself. Fortunately, 'finding yourself' sometimes is a process of letting go of all the things you are not. Be courageous and keep your eyes, minds and hearts open.

Today we can really soak up the feel-good emotions of the Moon in bright and sociable Sagittarius when the Moon makes a connection with the expansive planet Jupiter in Aquarius. This is the energy that reminds us we are abundantly provided for, even when we blind ourselves to the possibilities. We are reminded that we have the power. We feel confident we can resolve any obstacle in our path. Being with like-minded people will be especially rewarding today. Sag likes to be on the move so plan an activity; the more physical the better, but even an outing to a concert or sporting event will fit the bill.

Other than a sweet connection between the Moon in Capricorn and relationship-goddess Venus in Virgo, the cosmic stage is quiet today. It's is a good day to see how all the pieces fit together and maybe make some strides toward shoring up any instability in your relationships or finances. Capricorn and Virgo are both earth signs and teach us about the practical physical side of life. Capricorn is not a natural at making a fuss with sweet talk, but if someone buys you something today, even if it's as mundane as a vacuum cleaner, or an offer to change the oil in your car, it's probably an act of love and affection.
