A fascinating discovery was announced this week by NASA. New sky maps
have been plotted and sent back to scientists by the Interstellar
Boundary Explorer (IBEX) spacecraft, a NASA mission sent into space to
explore the boundaries of our solar system.

These new maps show a long winding "ribbon" of unknown origin that
bisects the heliosphere -- that vast bubble of magnetism that
surrounds our solar system as we move through space, protecting us
from cosmic rays and interstellar clouds.

Scientists are quite excited, and I'm quite intrigued. Space
discoveries correspond with moments in history when we humans are
ready to integrate new information or to take a next step in our
development.

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, was discovered in the late 1970s, when we
began to get comfortable with using psychology and other therapies to
uncover and heal wounds in our psyches. Uranus, the planet of
rebellion and change, was first identified in 1781, as the
Revolutionary War was in its final stages. The following year, Great
Britain recognized the United States as an independent nation.

What is this ribbon? And what does it represent for our development
and expanding awareness? Here's a hint, from an article written by
IBEX Principal Investigator, Dave McComas:

The ribbon appears to be produced by the alignment of magnetic fields
outside our heliosphere. These observations suggest that the
interstellar environment has far more influence on structuring the
heliosphere than anyone previously believed. (http://ibex.swri.edu/)

Is this "ribbon" physical confirmation that our human experience and
our awareness are affected by energies far vaster than we've thought?
Does this discovery indicate that soon we will be expanding that
awareness even further -- incorporating a much more "galactic" level
of understanding regarding our place in the cosmos and our
relationship with All That Is?

McComas also writes, "What we are seeing in these maps does not match
with any of the previous theoretical models of this region." And
perhaps our current journey of awareness and consciousness expansion
will also take us into realms that do not match humanity's "previous
theoretical models."

Synchronistically, this week's Multidimensional News (at
www.multidimensions.com/TheVision/newsletter_101509.html) contains
illustrations of the layers of the Earth and the layers of the
atmosphere. In the section of the newsletter entitled "Expanding Your
Sense of Self," the channel explains how these layers correspond with
various components of our human experience and our energy fields.

These explanations introduce the section entitled "Your Inter-
Dimensional Journey," which talks about our expansion into the fifth
and sixth dimensions. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that this is
also something that this newly discovered "ribbon" represents.

Keeping that larger picture in mind, we are preparing now on many
levels for a major shift, corresponding with the first Pluto-Saturn
square, exact on November 15. Since this square will occur two more
times, November marks the first phase in a three-step process. The
other two squares will occur in January and August 2010.

The energy of a Pluto-Saturn interaction could very well correspond
with a symbolic "rift in the fabric of time" -- in other words, a
shift in our awareness to incorporate other dimensions. And, the fact
that the influence of this particular aspect covers a 10-month period
-- and that it overlaps with the Saturn-Uranus opposition -- means
that this is a very significant time in our development.

When I was a child, one of my favorite books was Madeleine L'Engle's A
Wrinkle in Time. As many times as I read it, it always succeeded in
carrying me into a semi-altered state as I traveled between dimensions
with its primary characters.

Others may have read it as pure fantasy, but to me there was something
real about it, and I fully believed that the children's father had
been experimenting with travel into the fifth dimension when he
disappeared. Perhaps it was because the children who were the main
characters were so real, with everyday issues that I could relate to,
that also made their other-worldly experiences seem quite natural,
even though quite unusual.

I've thought a lot about A Wrinkle in Time in the last couple of days
since reading about the "ribbon" in the solar system maps. A part of
me wonders -- is this a real-life tesseract? Does it symbolize our
readiness to travel in some way to other dimensions?

Adjusting our lens now, focusing on the terrain closer in:

Now that Jupiter is moving direct, and both Chiron and Neptune are
getting ready to do the same (on October 30 and November 4,
respectively), the three players in our triple-conjunction from last
May are once again moving closer to each other. This means our process
of healing and awareness expansion are again coming to the forefront.

This week, the three planets in our Triad take turns interacting in
friendly fashion with Mercury, supplying opportunities to bring
something new into conscious awareness. It might be a new belief,
understanding, or sense of greater meaning (Jupiter, on Tuesday); a
reminder to love a part of us that has felt rejected or abandoned,
thereby healing the myth of separation (Chiron, on Thursday); or a
support for the process of going within, strengthening our ability
receive intuitive guidance through dreams or other spiritual
connections (Neptune, on Saturday).

Kind of a one-two-three punch, but in a nice way.

Added to this, Pluto forms a quintile aspect with Mercury on
Wednesday, throwing some creative, transformative ideas into the mix.
And on Sunday, Uranus and Mercury form a quincunx aspect, which means
we'll once again need to be make some adjustments in our thinking
patterns in order to accommodate the information that is coming in
from higher consciousness.

Also this week, the Sun enters Scorpio, tilting us further into the
second half of the zodiac cycle. Scorpio supports the process of going
beneath the surface to uncover the truth -- both within each of us
personally, and in external situations.

As the Psychotherapist, Scorpio doesn't really care whether or not the
truth is pretty. He likes to find out why we do what we do, and to
make sure that we're not sugar-coating some awareness that could be
pivotal for our growth. He also supports us in releasing whatever is
holding us back from claiming a life of meaning and empowerment.

Under Scorpio's tenure, until the Sun moves into Sagittarius on
November 21, our relationships and our lives in general may feel more
intense, as we dive into what may be some swampy waters. But the
nuggets that we bring up from the bottom may, in fact, be gold, and
will contribute in vital ways to our fulfillment as we move forward.

Many blessings,

Pam
