The Moon Room - a space for sharing, usually in words, that which points to the Inexpressible.

Perhaps things are not as inexpressible as many would indoctrinate us to believe,...it is all really relative,...relative to our perceptions, and how we can experience beyond perception.

The ego complex feeds itself on beliefs within an upside-down reality that generally diverts the host’s attention towards pursuits of useless activities, not spiritual transcendence and genuine joy. Joy is realized only by letting go of the desire for joy; desires arise from ordinary knowledge. Those consumed with ordinary knowledge yearn for things that are not. In reality, everything already is.

True joy is experiencing the world that surrounds us, not the world that surrounded us. Ordinary knowledge always surrounded us, because such knowledge is in the past.

Very few people experience true joy. Of course they will disagree,...arguing how Disney Land was such joy, or watching their child's recital, or winning a bet on college basketball. Yet that is not the perceived joy I'm pointing to,...they are merely activities around joy.

The psychotherapeutic notion of a divided self and the resolve of the ego, id, and superego to forge an imagined unity in separation, do little to bring clarity to the issue of who we are. That is to say, psychology, for the most part, is just one more object-ive science that attempts to define self through the objects and perceived joy around it. By defining ego via ego, psychologists merely describe what surrounds the whole, not the whole itself.

Visualize a keyhole for a moment, one of those slotted holes that can be peeped through, as in old Colonial and Victorian homes. Now, describe that hole. Some may say that it has the shape of a circle with a rectangle whose width is smaller than the diameter of the circle aligned on the bottom; others could respond that the hole is surrounded by a brass plate that is attached to the door, which is connected to the wall, etc. Perhaps the hole could be looked through, so one could remark about what is seen on the other side. However, none of that actually describes the hole; all of the preceding descriptions are narratives about what is around or can be seen through the hole. Nevertheless, that is how most persons, especially Westerners and scientists, perceive their own wholeness, and joy: by what is around it.

True joy is uncovered only in the present,...and there is no present in time. Perceptive reality,...3D reality,...is always in the past.

Many New Agers believe that the Now is the perceived now,...however, such a notion is not true. There is no Now in time. To taste true joy, or any truth, there must be an awareness of timelessness. An awareness of the timelessness we are,...the fulcrum upon which time effects its motion through space.
