That said you cannot wrap horses in cotton wool & by their very design they are incredibly strong and yet fragile beasts.
Several years ago the great Sir Tristram had to be euthanised after shattering his shoulder, he was romping in his paddock at the time.
Some months later a friend of mine lost her mare in the exact same way.
