I have a four year old appy gelding that hasn't had much handling in life. HIs previous owners were afraid of him and he was gelded late. Does anyone have any training advice? I have trained Quarter horses before but I feel like this guy is outsmarting me at every turn! He is incredably smart but a handful at times and does not seem to be responding to traditional training. I would like some appy advice and to start fresh with him from the ground up as far as training goes. He is a touch me not and does not want to be handled either I must bribe him with food but once I get my hands on him he becomes a good boy with wonderful ground manners.
