Actually I just replayed the Preakness and saw the horse you were talking about... I dont know what exactly they had for a bridle cause it was like they had a bit in his mouth but no bridle. I have actually seen outriders only using a rein around the neck to control the horse. My last horse I could do that. But I dont know what they had on that horse.
