I was going to get one for Donkey Bill but never did. He was getting so fat! I tried everything but he just threw a royal fit everytime I tried something to curb his eating. I would say you have to get them used to it first. And only put it on a certain amount of time each day. They should still be able to drink water through it and only eat a little at a time through it.
