selenite grows in many shapes. look for the crystal cave photo i posted a few threads down.
as for the jet selenite, i think it disolves every night, then as the salt flats dry out, reforms. i think there may be a season for finding the mineral there. but this is purely speculation. i'd wager if you do a google search on jet oklahoma selenite, you'd find something.
